Clay Shoot

At this year's shoot 134 people
signed-up to shoot. One hundred fourteen checked-in and 99 turned-in score
cards. Fifty-four participated in the Calcutta. For pictures click on the

The winners of the annual Victoria Rotary Club and Boys and Girls Club clay
shoot are:

Jason Yandell from
Victoria won the High Over All in the shoot-off. He broke 46 out of fifty targets to qualify.
He was, also, last year's HOA. Wayne Walker from Bridge City broke 45 targets to
win the Class AA second place trophy.
In the remaining classes everyone shot-off for first and second place honors.
Qualifying scores for the Class A shoot-off were between 37 and 44. Class B
bottom cutoff was 31. Shooters with scores of 30 or less shot Class C.
Jason Brannan had a score of 41 in
the qualifying round, won the shoot-off, and was declared Class A winner. Mike
Hahn of Port Lavaca shot 37 to
qualify for Class A then went on to place second in the shoot-off.
Clayton from Victoria shot a 31 in the qualifying round then won the
shoot-off to win the Class B first place trophy. David Hairell of Victoria won the second place Class B trophy after qualifying with a
36.
Wesley Hawkins from Caldwell representing Halliburton won the Class C shoot-off
(qualifying score of 25). Dale Jones from Victoria was the Class C second place winner (qualifying score of
222).
In the Youth Class Matthew Hahn won by breaking 38 birds. Garrett Euler
followed with 37. Youth—have not reached their eighteenth
birthday—shoot free when accompanied by a paying adult.
