2006-07 Club Goals

Membership Committee (Ann Castner)

  1. Increase our membership by 10 new members by May 31st, 2007 (Entire Membership)
  2. Recognize the team that accumulate the highest score in the membership drive contest (Omar)
  3. Expedite New Member Orientation program & ensure that new members are being mentored/engaged in the purpose of Rotary (Sub-Committee: Rotary Information / Bill McLeod - Chair)
Public Relations Committee (Jack Whitmire)
  1. Publicize Special Events in local papers, radio & Community Bulletin Board
  2. Submit pictures of Grants recipients to local papers at least once per month
  3. Submit articles concerning Community Service Projects to local papers
Club Administration Committee ()
  1. Develop & implement a process to recognize a member of our club for “Rotarian of the Year” (Sub-Committee: Club Service / Clara Prater - Chair)
  2. Achieve an attendance record of 90% (Sub Committee: Attendance / Vance Riley - Chair )
  3. Develop & implement to ensure that our Programs are informative and meet the interests/needs of our members (Sub-Committee: Program / Peggy Cunningham - Chair)
Service Projects Committee (Jennifer Yancey)
  1. Develop & implement a process to recognize a member of our club for the “Vocational Service” award (Sub-Committee: Vocational Service / - Chair)

  2. Develop & implement a process where at least one member provides an internship to a High School or College student (Sub-Committee: Human Development / - Chair)

  3. Participate in Health-A-Rama with a booth to ensure visibility in the community (Sub-Committee: Community Service / Janice Jones - Chair)

Rotary Foundation (Robert Clegg)
  1. Submit an application for a strong, well-qualified candidate to compete at the District level for Ambassadorial Scholarship or Rotary Grant for University Teacher (Sub-Committee: Scholarships / Jeff Bauknight - Chair)
  2. Seek a Rotary Foundation Matching Grant for a Literacy project (Sub-Committee: Grants / Mike Weston - Chair)
  3. Make a club contribution to PolioPlus: Pennies for Polio (Sub-Committee: PolioPlus / Joe Truman - Chair)
